What is a Vascular Surgeon?

A Vascular Surgeon is a physician who manages diseases related to conditions of veins and arteries in every part of the body except for the heart and brain. Vascular Surgeons can do surgery if needed, but in many cases, vascular conditions can be treated with medication or exercise.
